Techno House – Part I

« Techno House – Part 1 » is an audio-visual composition in which sound and image are interconnected. Thirty-six samples recorded in a home environment are associated with a corresponding 3D model and then used to compose a multitude of rhythmic structures.

The western individual tends to reduce his own sound environment to the background, thus becoming weary of it. But where is the boundary between these two entities, from when does noise become music, does discomfort become pleasant, does the banal become entertaining ? Rhythmic compositions exist and are generated randomly and are in this work, simply rearranged in the so-called « musical » way.

Visual entertainment is also fully part of our interiors. We integrate it into our home and try in vain to make it « warmer » with IKEA furniture. From the design of the most useless artificial plant to the most practical kitchen utensils, what is the hidden role of these objects in our minds, whose aesthetic presence and materiality has a direct impact on our well-being and lifestyles ? In the end, isn’t acquiring a cat also part of the scenery ?
